I’ll admit these frameworks can often be seen as stifling teacher autonomy and, at times, they are misapplied by teaching and learning leaders. However, used properly, instructional frameworks can be the secret sauce needed to see real success in the classroom. Instructional frameworks provide the safety and consistency to ensure every student has a fair and equitable shot at academic success. Just like those inflatable bumpers, frameworks create boundaries that keep learning on track—so the focus can stay on growth, achievement, and yes, even joy.
